Ah young, fickle love. Taking cassettes to the next level, these crafters have taken old tapes and remade them, or remixed them, into some pretty nifty items:
Over at Craftster, freepepper has created this wonderful wallet (pictured) out of a cassette tape. Instructables has a good tutorial on how to make one of your own.
Etsy sellers vortextradingcompany and customink have cassette tape magnets and belt buckles. You can also use an old tape for protecting your ipod as MAKE blog has pointed out.
And finally —
Perhaps the most creative use of a mix tape is this necklace (pictured) from goblingblinggo.
All of the examples are great ways to transform those mix tapes into something either to treasure always or get the great satisfaction of primal destruction and revenge after a break up.
