All Girl Scout cookies come in a case of twelve, and if you’re a Girl Scout troop leader, you probably know exactly how many of these cases will fit in your car. 16 Diy Greeting Cards Made From Upcycled Materials

The transcription project has also got me weirdly interested in store-bought greeting cards… or rather, weirdly interested in how boring they are. I know they’re not all literally identical–I mean, some have puppies on the front, and others have flowers!–but metaphorically, they kind of are. The hundreds of them that I’ve transcribed all blur together in a miasma of embossed cardstock, too many ellipses, too many Thomas Moore poems, and a font that’s either a flowery script or a blocky print....

Being A Green Goth Finding The Eco In Papel Picado

The only hindrance to such madcap skull-crafting is my manifesto, which declares that whenever possible, I utilize recycled materials in my work. Know how many Halloween-ish craft projects there are that purposefully utilize recycled materials? Not many, my friends. That’s why we think outside the box; we take regular craft projects, and we MAKE them be recycled, mwa-ha-ha! My latest Project O’ Skulls comes from my (healthy) obession with The Toymaker....

Book Page Decorations

Some girlfriends and I got together to make decorations, and of course we wanted to use book pages to make most of the decor. We offset the muted book colors with a few brightly-colored tissue paper poofs, and I can’t wait to hang them up for Bonnie’s shower! On top of the decorations, we’re also doing a book-themed activity: making their baby his first alphabet book! To create that project, we just put paper with all of the letters into a bowl, so folks could choose their letters, and we’d make sure to have no repeats and get the whole alphabet done....

Crafting Vs Vinyl Round 2

First and foremost, I see clear vinyl used most extensively in hand made items. It is found in wallets, ID holders and things like ipod cases. Unfortunately, I have yet to find an alternative for clear vinyl. So it stays on the Eco-Crafter’s List of Demands. Second, many crafters use vinyl to make bags; many, many bags. The vinyl fabric that is used in these bags is bright and colorful....
