But I am getting ahead of myself. Which is kinda the point, to get on top of the holiday craziness before the holidays get on top of me. Which means it’s time for this crafty girl to get into a Christmas frame of mind. So, before I start stressing about gifts and goodies I am going to take stock of what I have on hand to create a green Christmas. A good place to start is with DIY gift wrap, bags, and boxes, all which can be super simple to make. Looking around I already see I have plenty of stuff to wrap and trim gifts with. Colorful newspaper (the comics are always a good choice), magazines headed for the recycling bin, cereal boxes, soap boxes, scraps of ribbon and fabric, a large coffee can can all be used in wrapping. And almost anything can be used to make your own holiday gift wrap. You can use newspaper to make gift bags, cereal boxes can become stylish gift boxes, scraps of paper can become pretty bows, all with a little bit of creativity and effort.
